Rules

1. Play by dates:
Round 1: 23:00 on 24th of September;
Round 2: 23:00 on 15th of October;
Quarter-final: 23:00 on 5th of November;
Semi-final: 23:00 on 22nd of November;
Final will take place at 21:00 on 24th of November.

2. Entries will be limited to 32 teams with up to 8 teams seeded and the rest placed at random.

3. Event will run only if the minimum of 16 entries is reached

4. Final match will take place at 21:00 on 24th of November on a court booked by the organisers. If one of the teams cannot play at the scheduled final match the other team will be declared a winner and an exhibition match will be played instead.

5. Matches can be played on any surface.

6. All participants have to have booking rights at peak times at DL Raynes Park

7. Matches from Semi-Finals onwards might include an umpire assigned by the system who will resolve conflicts with line calling and scores and will be streaming the match score as it progresses using UmpireCast facility.

8. Team who’s name comes first in the match draw will be responsible for providing a set of good tennis balls (Wilson US Open, Head Tour or equivalent). Organisers will provide a new set of tournament grade balls for Semi-Finals onward.

9. There are no late cancellations, no-shows etc, only the completed match score should be entered. If a player in a team has to step down for an injury, the opposing team will progress further, no substitutions are allowed.

10. A player from each team need to enter the completed score in order for the result to be shown on the website. Any match for which the score is not entered by both teams at Play By Date, will be defaulted according to system rules.

11. System will default the match randomly choosing one the following outcomes based on a weight: 1 - team 1 wins, 1 - team 2 wins, 3 - both teams are disqualified with competing branch's winner progressing to the next stage.

12. Matches are two sets to 6 games with a short tie-break (to 7 with a 2 point lead) at 6 games all.

13. If the score reaches 1 set all, a match tie-break (to 10 with a 2 point lead) must be played to decide the winner, a full third set must not be played.

14. Deuces should be played out as normal (with no sudden death).
